Commuter Student Services (CSS) offers up to date rental listings for properties throughout San Diego to UCSD Affiliates. To access our listings online, you will need a valid UCSD student ID number or a valid user ID and password provided by our office. Please see below for more specific information on how to access the listings. Thank you for using our service.
UCSD Students only need their UCSD ID card to access the listings. To access these online, you will need your PID number. Students can use our services to post an extra room available in their home or to post themselves as an available roommate.
UCSD Affiliates (Staff, Faculty, Scripps Institute) - Online access to our listings is available through UCSD’s Single Sign-On system, the same username and password used for most of the core business services on campus such as Financial Link and My Services, will also be used to access the listings. To establish a Single Sign-On visit Blink’s Single Sign-On Registration.
Visiting Scholars (All Academics: Post-Doctoral Fellows, Researchers, Professors, and International Students) - To access our listing online, you must first provide proof of affiliation. This can be done via fax, e-mail, or in person. Once your affiliation has been confirmed, a temporary user ID and password to access the listings will be assigned to you.
UCSD Freshman, Transfers, and Graduate Students who have been admitted to UCSD but have not yet received their PIDs will need to provide proof of affiliation via fax, e-mail, or in person prior to gaining access. Once your affiliation has been confirmed, a temporary user ID and password to access the listings will be assigned to you.
Landlords can post available listings through the website. To do so, visit our homepage and click "Post a Listing" then select the option that best fits your particular unit. The appropriate rental form then will load and allow you to submit your rental information along with pictures. All listings must be approved by a member of our staff prior to posting to our online site. Approvals are done Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
If prior to the 30-days you wish to make small edits to the rental amount, deposit, date available, etc., or remove your ad entirely as it has rented, please contact our office and have your five-digit listing ID number readily available.
If you wish to renew your ad after 30-days have passed, you may do so by contacting us with your five-digit listing ID number.
** Landlords cannot view listings. However, if you wish to gauge the San Diego housing market, please visit the homepage and select “Average Rental Rates” located towards the top of the page.**
