Bright Private Bedroom in a 14sq2 apartment

We are a pet-loving couple: Silvia is a UCSD postdoc, and Gabriele is a professional musician and recording engineer. For the past ten years, we have traveled the whole world, lived with many flatmates, and adapted to several housing settings.

The...
apartment/bedrooms/bathrooms are fully furnished by us and recently renovated. We are also happy to share everything with you, including plates, pots, glasses, dish soap, cleaning supplies, trash bags, kitchen appliances, etc (you name it or ask us)… We have a full-size washer and dryer, refrigerator, dishwasher, and dining room ceiling fan in the apartment. Parking is available inside the gated community or street parking. Biking racks are available, too, and we have biking tools to share and lend. We are happy to help our roommates, so if you need help with anything, feel free to ask us :). Rent includes everything mentioned plus electricity bills.

Walking distance to the UCSD campus or the shuttle is right behind the corner of our gated community. We are in a central location: 15 min walking/3min drive to Trader Joe, Whole Foods, Ralph, CVS and other shops. 15 min walking/3 min drive from Westfield UTC mall. 3 min drive from the 5 freeway.

We seek a laid-back, respectful, trustworthy, clean flatmate who loves and respects pets and is excited to be part of a social, non-militant communal house. Moreover, our ideal flatmate should be a clear and comfortable communicator, including addressing household issues, and can create a safe space for discussion. You'll be tolerant, friendly, and non-judgemental of other people's personal choices and identities. Quiet hours in the community are 10 pm-8 am. We are very friendly and we enjoy gatherings, but no parties are allowed! We love outdoor activities, like camping, hiking, climbing and surfing and we are always happy to include our flatmates in our plans, like dinners, road trips and outdoor adventures. Hence, we are looking to start a home that has a relaxed, community vibe, including a regular cleaning roster. We seek someone willing to stay long-term, although short-term can be considered based on individual cases, including a month-to-month lease.

Please send us a small description of yourself via email and all related questions you might have :) After that, we will set up a zoom video call and in-person meeting to show you the place. We are very flexible with the move-in date.
